Voters in Serbia and Brazil have chosen left-wing parties in recent elections, according to Deutsche Welle. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic was voted out of office, while Flavio Bolsonaro failed to gain power in Brazil. Deutsche Welle reported that US President Donald Trump expressed unhappiness over the political outcomes and claimed that electoral fraud occurred. [1]

In the aftermath of the Brazilian vote, United States Secretary of State Marco Rubio denied that the Trump administration assisted candidate Flavio Bolsonaro in fleeing Brazil for the United States, as reported by Al Jazeera and UPI. The Times of India and Al Jazeera both reported that President Donald Trump said Flavio Bolsonaro can remain in the United States for as long as he wishes. [3][6][7]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, incumbent President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva won the presidential runoff in Brazil against Flavio Bolsonaro, who subsequently refused to recognize the final result. [15]

The international election results arrive just before the United States midterm elections scheduled for Tuesday, November 3, according to Deutsche Welle. Deutsche Welle noted that the Republican party of President Donald Trump currently holds majorities in both chambers of the United States Congress. [1]
