New prosecution court filings show that the jury foreperson in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial submitted six notes before a judge declared a mistrial, the New York Post reported on October 29. The court documents confirm that the panel was deadlocked for several days before the trial ended on September 4. [1]
According to the New York Post, jurors asked on August 28 to see pill bottles and a knife that 36 year old Lindsay Clancy used in a suicide attempt. She allegedly strangled her children Cora, aged five, Dawson, aged three, and Callan, aged eight months, in Duxbury, Massachusetts. On January 24, 2023, Lindsay Clancy fatally strangled the three children at their home before jumping from a second story window, which left her paralyzed from the waist down. [1][4]
In separate civil court proceedings, Lindsay Clancy's attorney disputes claims that she told healthcare providers about homicidal thoughts regarding her children, Fox News reported. During a hearing in Norfolk County Superior Court, attorney Howard Cooper addressed statements made by counsel for her ex husband, Patrick Clancy. Both Patrick and Lindsay Clancy have filed lawsuits against hospitals and healthcare providers, alleging that failures in medical care contributed to the tragedy. [2]
