CCTV footage shown to a jury at Cambridge Crown Court captured train staff member Samir Zitouni using a frying pan to fight off a man accused of attempting to murder 10 passengers on a train, BBC News reported. The incident occurred aboard a Doncaster to King's Cross train before it made an unscheduled stop at Huntingdon railway station. Prosecutor Christopher Paxton KC said Zitouni demonstrated sheer courage and bravery in seeking to defend others during the mass stabbing. [1]
Witnesses described Zitouni as a hero who told the attacker that they loved him and could help him, according to BBC News. The footage showed Zitouni confronting Anthony Williams with the frying pan on the train on 1 November last year. [1]
Williams, aged 33, of Langford Road in Peterborough, denies 14 counts, BBC News reported. As FTMQ News reported earlier, Williams was arrested in Huntingdon on 1 November 2025 and previously admitted to wounding charges following the train attack. [1][6]
