Jurors shown digital reconstruction in Sydney police double murder trial

A computer-generated reconstruction of the alleged double murder of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies has been played to a Sydney jury in the trial of former police officer Beau Lamarre-Condon. The Guardian reported that prosecutors presented a 3D video of the Paddington terrace house where the couple was allegedly shot. Beau Lamarre-Condon, aged 31, has pleaded not guilty to two counts of murder over the deaths of Jesse Baird and Luke Davies on 19 February 2024. [1][2][6][7]

The Guardian and Nine.com.au reported that the court examined images showing gun marks on a bedroom door in the Paddington home. The Guardian added that a ballistics expert traced bullet trajectories as part of the evidence. According to the Daily Mail, the jury also viewed post-mortem findings and CT scans presented by radiologist Dr James Raleigh and forensic pathologist Dr Kendall Bailey, outlining bullet entry and exit points. Jesse Baird worked as a television presenter on Network 10 programs, including Totally Wild, Gamify, and Studio 10. He was also an Australian Football League umpire who officiated 62 matches, including two finals, as FTMQ News reported earlier. [5][6]

The court previously heard that forensic tests identified Luke Davies' DNA on the trigger and handle of the Glock pistol used in the crime, as FTMQ News reported earlier. The bodies of the two men were eventually recovered inside surfboard bags located in rural New South Wales. [6][7]
