The New York Police Department is offering a 10,000 dollar reward for information leading to an arrest after a woman was stabbed in Gravesend, Brooklyn, on Friday evening. The New York Post reported that 28-year-old bank teller Katie Suarez was attacked on a jogging path around the Shore Parkway Greenway promenade. She was declared brain dead and remains on life support at NYU Langone Hospital. [1]

Law enforcement sources stated that Suarez had just finished her shift at a TD Bank located in the Caesar's Bay Shopping Center in Gravesend. She met up with her mother shortly before going for her run, according to the New York Post. [1]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, Suarez was stabbed in the neck during the attack. Following the incident, Phil Vetrano publicly urged Suarez's father to fight for justice. Vetrano's daughter, Karina Vetrano, was murdered on a Queens running path ten years ago. Chanel Lewis was convicted in 2019 for the murder of Karina Vetrano and sentenced to life imprisonment. [2]
