Man arrested after pulling knife on film set in Brooklyn

A man wielding a knife was arrested on the Brooklyn set of the film Miami Vice 85 on Friday night after getting into a confrontation with a crew member, according to the New York Post. The New York City Police Department stated that 23-year-old Alex Perez disrupted production near Bay Parkway and McDonald Avenue around 11:15 p.m. [1]

The New York Post reported that Perez engaged in a verbal dispute with a 43-year-old male production staffer. Police said Perez allegedly pulled out a knife during the argument, causing the staff member to fear for his safety. [1]

Officers took the suspect into custody at the scene near Washington Cemetery without further incident, according to police statements cited by the New York Post. Law enforcement officers also recovered the knife involved in the dispute. [1]

The film production is named after Miami Vice, an American television crime drama created by Anthony Yerkovich and executive-produced by Michael Mann. The original series followed two undercover police detectives working in Miami during the 1980s. [2][4]
