Early voting in New York increased nearly 70 percent compared to four years ago, according to the New York Post. Data released on November 2 by the State Board of Elections showed 1,965,043 people voted early between October 24 and November 1. That total is an increase from the 1,178,676 early votes cast in 2022. [1]
The New York Post reported that early voting inside New York City increased 60 percent. City residents cast 690,526 early votes this year, up from 432,634 in 2022. Early votes in suburban and rural upstate counties rose 70 percent, from 746,042 votes in 2022 to 1,274,717 this year. [1]
Voting more than doubled in key upstate counties, the New York Post reported. Elise Stefanik has served as the United States representative for New York's 21st congressional district since 2015, and she served as chair of the House Republican Conference from 2021 to 2025. [1][2]
As FTMQ News reported earlier, national Democrats added New York's 21st congressional district to their Red to Blue campaign list. The local contest features Republican Anthony Constantino and Democrat Blake Gendebien. [4]
