Kathy Hochul leads Bruce Blakeman by 14 points in late survey

Democratic New York Governor Kathy Hochul leads Republican opponent Bruce Blakeman by 14 points in the state gubernatorial race, according to the final pre-election poll from Siena University released on October 28. The New York Post, amNewYork, Newsday, Times Union, and The South Shore Press all reported on the survey results, which show Hochul leading Blakeman 54 percent to 40 percent among likely voters. The New York Post reported that Hochul expanded her lead by five points compared to last month's Siena survey, which had shown her holding a nine-point advantage of 50 percent to 41 percent. Siena pollster Steven Greenberg stated that Blakeman is running out of time to close a gap that is expanding rather than shrinking. [1]
