Republican Bruce Blakeman campaigned across Brooklyn, Queens, and Staten Island on Saturday as his campaign for New York governor entered its final stretch, the New York Post reported. Blakeman delivered an affordability message to voters and criticized Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul alongside Mayor Zohran Mamdani. [1]
The New York Post reported that the Nassau County executive began his day at the Staten Island Republican Party headquarters in New Dorp. He then traveled across the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge to speak at the Brooklyn GOP office located in Dyker Heights. [1]
Blakeman is running against incumbent Democratic Governor Kathy Hochul. As FTMQ News reported earlier, internal Republican polling from October showed Hochul holding a narrow lead over Blakeman of four to 4.4 percentage points, while Blakeman campaigned on subways promising more police officers on trains. As FTMQ News also reported earlier, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani cast his ballot on Saturday on the Upper East Side as early voting opened, while actively campaigning for Hochul against Blakeman. [1][2]
