Friends honor New Jersey murder suicide victim Sloane Grodnick

Friends of Sloane Grodnick are honoring her life through a GoFundMe memorial campaign after she was killed by her father in Montgomery Township, New Jersey. Prosecutors state that sixty-one-year-old David Grodnick shot his daughter inside their home on October 2. The New York Post reported that the father was an insurance executive and that the family mansion was valued at 1.7 million dollars. [1]

The New York Post reported that sixty-two-year-old Lora Grodnick was also killed by her husband during the attack. David Grodnick then turned the gun on himself after shooting his wife and daughter. Mourning friends said that twenty-four-year-old Sloane Grodnick deserved so much more as they launched the online tribute to raise funds for a memorial. [1]

Fatal domestic murder-suicides have impacted families across the country in recent weeks. As FTMQ News reported earlier, former deputy police chief Ann Mannix and her daughter Katie were killed by retired police sergeant Kevin Mannix in Mill Valley, California. In a separate incident, nine people died during a mass shooting and murder-suicide in Erie, Pennsylvania. [3][4]
