Family honors victims of fatal California police murder suicide

The family of retired San Francisco Police Department deputy chief Ann Mannix and her daughter Katie Mannix spoke out after both women were shot dead in California. Brendan Mannix, the nephew of Ann Mannix, described the family as heartbroken and forever changed following the attack. Police stated that 68-year-old retired police sergeant Kevin Mannix shot his wife and daughter before turning the gun on himself on Sunday night, the New York Post reported. [1]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, the fatal murder-suicide took place at a two million dollar home located in Mill Valley, California. Kevin Mannix killed his 65-year-old estranged wife, Ann Mannix, and their 24-year-old daughter, Katie Mannix, before killing himself at the residence. [1][3]

Brendan Mannix remembered his aunt Ann Mannix as a trailblazer who assisted other women in advancing within the San Francisco Police Department, according to the New York Post. He also paid tribute to his cousin Katie Mannix, describing her as an aspiring nurse who frequently sent encouraging messages to her loved ones. [1]
