The General Mills brand Cheerios has partnered with Ziploc to introduce a resealable inner bag called PantrySeal, Fox News reported. The new packaging keeps the traditional cereal box but uses an inner bag that opens partially across the top to create a pour spout that can be resealed. [1]

According to Fox News, ninety percent of cereal eaters take extra steps to keep cereal fresh. The change follows years of consumer requests for an easier way to close cereal bags, replacing methods like rolled-up bags and cereal clips to prevent stale cereal. [1]

Cheerios is manufactured by General Mills in the United States and Canada and consists of pulverized oats shaped into a solid torus. The cereal is made from whole grain oats, making the original variety naturally gluten-free and a source of soluble fiber. [2][3]

General Mills markets the brand for its whole grain content and has expanded the product line to include over a dozen varieties, such as Honey Nut Cheerios and Multi Grain Cheerios. [3]
