PGA Tour golfer Cameron Young signed a document of intent to join LIV Golf after the 2022 Open Championship, according to Fox News, GOLF.com, and NDTV Sports. The agreement was revealed in recent bankruptcy court filings made by LIV Golf. [1][9][11]

The revelation arrives alongside separate updates regarding LIV Golf operations. The New York Post reported that the Financial Times said roughly 15 golfers have tentatively committed to a proposed LIV Golf 2.0. The private equity firm BC Partners plans to invest $300 million into the new circuit and set a deadline for player commitments for Sunday, though an extension is expected. The New York Post also reported that a group of players led by Dustin Johnson is seeking a severance payout. [4]

In regular action on the PGA Tour, high winds shortened the Butterfield Bermuda Championship to 54 holes, Fox News reported. BBC Sport reported that Austin Smotherman defeated Ireland's Seamus Power in a Monday play-off to take the tournament title after the weather delays. [1][5]

Young is an American professional golfer on the PGA Tour, where he has won three titles. LIV Golf, which launched its first event in June 2022, is a professional men's golf tour. [12][13]
