Crucial swing voters in the United States are increasingly concerned about the rise of the Democratic Socialists of America, according to the New York Post. A new survey released in Washington showed that 56 percent of respondents held an unfavorable view of the organization. That figure represents an increase from 50 percent recorded in September. [1]
The findings come from the latest Americans Unscripted report published by Americans for Prosperity, the New York Post reported. The survey revealed that nearly 60 percent of respondents felt the Democratic Party was controlled by the far left, which is also up from 50 percent in September. Furthermore, 82 percent of respondents indicated that they favor personal freedom and free markets over government control. [1]
The 2026 United States midterm elections are scheduled to take place on November 3, 2026, during the second presidential term of Donald Trump. All 435 seats in the U.S. House of Representatives and 35 of the 100 seats in the U.S. Senate will be contested to determine the 120th United States Congress. Thirty-nine state and territorial gubernatorial elections will also be held alongside numerous state and local races. [3]
The poll results signal a potential warning sign for the Democratic Party as candidates prepare for the upcoming midterm elections, the New York Post reported. [1]
