Michael Brennan Wins Baycurrent Classic in Japan for Third PGA Tour Victory

American golfer Michael Brennan has secured a victory at the Baycurrent Classic in Japan, earning his third PGA Tour title and rising to world number 20.

Michael Brennan has won the Baycurrent Classic in Japan, securing his third PGA Tour victory and pushing his official ranking to world number 20. Fox News, Golfweek, and NBC Sports all reported on the victory, with NBC Sports noting that the win represents his second PGA Tour victory of the season. [1][2][3]

In addition to Brennan's victory, 19 year old Blades Brown earned his PGA Tour card for next year by finishing ninth on the Korn Ferry Tour season-long points list. Fox News reported that Brown is the youngest player ever to earn a card through that tour. Golfpost additionally reported that Brown had held a one-shot lead heading into the final round of the Korn Ferry Tour Championship. [1][4]

Brennan played collegiately for the Wake Forest Demon Deacons before turning professional in 2024. He won three times on the PGA Tour Americas in 2025 and claimed his first PGA Tour title later that same year. Brown turned professional in January 2025 directly from high school after breaking Bobby Jones's 103 year old record as the youngest medalist in U.S. Amateur history at age 16. [5][6]
