Television personality Shaun Wallace was targeted by luggage thieves at St Pancras International station in London last month, the Daily Mail reported. The Irish Sun also reported that The Chase star was robbed in London. Wallace described crime in the capital as out of control following the incident, according to the Daily Mail. [1][2]
The Daily Mail reported that the 66-year-old was getting into a taxi after travelling from Paris when his luggage was stolen. He had placed three pieces of luggage into the back of the cab. A man approached him and claimed that Wallace had dropped a card at the back. When Wallace got out of the taxi to retrieve the card, another person stole his bag from inside the vehicle. [1]
Wallace is an English barrister, lecturer, and television personality who appears as one of the chasers on the ITV quiz show The Chase. He was called to the Bar in 1984 after completing his pupillage in 1986. He established a career handling complex legal matters, including murder cases under Operation Trident, which targets gun crime in London. Wallace also won the quiz show Mastermind in 2004. [3][6]
The incident occurs amidst wider concerns over crime in the capital. As FTMQ News reported earlier, robbers stole an estimated one million pounds in watches every month in London's West End during 2026, with knives used or implied in 20 percent of those cases. [8]
