Driver led police on high speed chase in stolen Ford Mustang

Martin Stokes, 20, was arrested after driving down the wrong side of a dual carriageway in a stolen Ford Mustang during a police pursuit. The Daily Mail and The Sun both reported on the incident involving the vehicle. Drivers first reported Stokes to police for dangerous driving on the M4 westbound at 9:00 pm on July 8. [1][2]

When officers caught up with the stolen car and attempted to pull him over, Stokes accelerated away in the vehicle. The Daily Mail reported that he reached the junction 15 roundabout during the chase. Officers eventual stopped the vehicle and arrested Stokes at the scene. [1]

Upon stopping the vehicle, police discovered a 15-year-old child in the back seat of the car. The Daily Mail and The Sun both reported that Stokes threatened to murder police officers at the scene during his arrest. [1][2]
