Sinn Fein Transport Spokesperson Pa Daly stated that people in rural Kerry should not face indefinite waits for basic transport services, Radio Kerry reported. He called for urgent funding to support the rural bus service operating between Kilflynn and Abbeydorney. [1]

Radio Kerry reported that the bus route, which previously operated weekly, has been cut to a fortnightly schedule. Daly described the current route as depleted. [1]

According to Radio Kerry, the National Transport Authority rejected two funding applications for the bus service this year because of a lack of available funds. Daly criticized the decisions, contrasting the lack of local investment with the millions being spent on Dublin MetroLink. [1]

Radio Kerry reported Daly's claim that nationwide new or enhanced transport services dropped by over 93 percent in four years. He characterized the decline as a failure to invest. [1]
