Russian authorities have arrested a minor in connection with an alleged terror threat against the Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve in Moscow, Euronews reported on Sunday. The arrest follows a statement from Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) published by Russian state media. [1]
The United States embassy in Russia had issued a security alert on Saturday warning of a credible threat of a mass casualty event at the museum site. Embassy officials stated that Washington was coordinating a response with Russian authorities, while advising people to avoid the area, stay alert, and stay away from crowds, Euronews reported. [1]
As FTMQ News reported earlier, the United States Embassy in Moscow originally issued its security alert regarding the threat at the Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve on 31 October 2026. [4]
The security alert and arrest take place during the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine, which began when Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022. [2]
