Polish police detain teenager suspected of plotting massacre in Warsaw

Polish police in Warsaw have detained a 16-year-old suspect after uncovering an alleged plot to kill multiple people, Euronews reported. Investigators believe the teenager was actively preparing to carry out a massacre. [1]

According to Euronews, officers acted on intelligence about the alleged plot and tracked down the teenager at his home. During a search of the property, officers discovered what they described as an entire arsenal of dangerous items, including a bulletproof vest and a gas launcher. An investigation team and a forensic technician carried out an inspection at the scene. [1]

The arrest follows earlier security concerns in the region. As FTMQ News reported earlier, Polish police previously detained a 17-year-old over social media threats directed at schools, which led to an increased police presence and the cancellation of on-site classes in several towns within the Mazovia region.
