Polish space company Creotech Instruments plans to boost its satellite production capacity tenfold by opening a new factory in 2029, Euronews reported. Chief Executive Officer Grzegorz Brona told Reuters that Europe will also remain reliant on American rockets to launch its satellites into space for years. [1]
As Euronews, UA.NEWS, Global Banking and Finance Review, and 101 WIXX reported, the expansion will increase the company's manufacturing capability. The planned facility in Mazowieckie, Poland, will be capable of producing 40 satellites of different models or up to 100 of a single model each year. Creotech currently produces 10 satellites annually at its site in Piaseczno, outside Warsaw. [1][2][3][4]
The company was founded in 2012 by former members of the European Organization for Nuclear Research. Creotech is Poland's leading space technology provider and operates European Space Agency certified manufacturing facilities in Piaseczno. It previously launched the EagleEye Earth observation satellite on its proprietary HyperSat platform in 2024. [7]
Creotech is also developing the planned Twardowski Lunar Mission orbiter in partnership with the European Space Agency. The project includes contributions from the University of Muenster and the Space Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Sciences. [5]
