Polish police are investigating an alleged plot to assassinate Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz. A spokesperson for Poland's Ministry of the Interior and Administration announced that security service representatives convened for an emergency meeting at 11 am on Sunday, according to Euronews. As reported by Euronews, the meeting took place at the headquarters of the Internal Security Agency, with officials from the police, the State Protection Service, and the Internal Security Agency participating. It remains unclear what specific information law enforcement received or what form the potential threat took, Euronews reported. [2]

Donald Tusk is a Polish politician and historian who has served as the prime minister of Poland since 2023, having previously held the same office from 2007 to 2014. He also served as President of the European Council from 2014 to 2019 and led the European People's Party between 2019 and 2022. [6]
