Nurse Ernest Cruz jailed seven years for sexually assaulting A and E patient

A nurse who sexually assaulted a woman in an accident and emergency department was jailed for seven years, the Daily Mail reported. Ernest Cruz, aged 38, abused the victim in a private room at Bournemouth Hospital. He entered her room 12 times over a two-hour period while working as a triage nurse. [1]

The victim, a woman in her 30s who cannot be named for legal reasons, was brought into the hospital after her drink was spiked during a night out. According to the Daily Mail, the victim was barely conscious, unable to walk without assistance, and felt powerless as she drifted in and out of consciousness during the attack. [1]
