Iranian asylum seeker Hossein Mohmoudi, 37, has been sentenced to 11 years in prison after being convicted of attempted rape, the Daily Mail reported. Mohmoudi arrived in the United Kingdom after piloting a small boat across the English Channel. [1]
The incident occurred in December 2024 when Mohmoudi stalked a 43-year-old woman returning home from a Christmas party, according to the Daily Mail. He tracked the victim for almost an hour, which included following her onto a bus, before attempting to rape her in an alleyway. [1]
