Former Vice President Kamala Harris warned Democrats against seeking to impeach President Donald Trump if the party takes back control of Congress in the upcoming midterm elections, Fox News reported. Speaking on The Parnas Perspective podcast, Harris stated that pursuing impeachment is not a good idea due to limited resources. Co-hosts of the television show The View expressed agreement with her remarks. [1]

Harris argued that Democratic energy and resources should be directed toward accountability and investigations instead of impeachment proceedings, according to Fox News. This position aligns with strategy discussed elsewhere in the party. As FTMQ News reported earlier, New York Governor Kathy Hochul similarly suggested that Democrats could use congressional subpoenas and hearings to stall the president's agenda. [1][11]

Party leaders are also preparing for other potential challenges following the midterm vote. Top Democrats on congressional intelligence committees stated they are preparing to counter any potential claims by Trump that foreign powers interfered in the November 3 midterm elections, the South China Morning Post reported. The lawmakers admitted they have seen no evidence of any country interfering with voting or vote counting. [2]

Meanwhile, the Democratic Party is rallying behind candidates in contested races across the country. According to The Guardian, the Democratic establishment is backing progressive candidate Abdul El-Sayed in the US Senate election in Michigan following attacks from Trump and his allies. The Democratic Party, founded in 1828, is the main rival to Trump's Republican Party in American politics. [4][9][10]
