Al Jazeera and the Los Angeles Times both reported that the bystander was walking his dogs when the agent drew the weapon. The Los Angeles Times noted that the agent pointed the handgun just inches from the face of the bystander, who was not detained or taken into custody. [1][3]

During the operation, officers violently took another man into custody, lifting him by his arms and legs while he cried out in pain, Al Jazeera reported. Additional coverage from ABC7 Los Angeles and NBC Los Angeles confirmed that video footage recorded the violent detention and the pointing of the gun. [1][4][5]
