Hasan Piker schedules Minnesota campaign appearance with Representative Ilhan Omar

Socialist Twitch streamer Hasan Piker is returning to the 2026 midterm election campaign in Minnesota, the Washington Examiner reported on October 22. Piker is scheduled to appear at a live podcast taping in Minneapolis on Monday, October 26. He will participate in the event alongside Representative Ilhan Omar and Minnesota state Senator Omar Fateh. [1]

The upcoming visit has raised concerns among local Democrats, according to headlines from FOX 9 Minneapolis-St. Paul, Bring Me The News, the Star Tribune, and Yahoo. The reports indicate that the event has sparked backlash and divided Democrats just over one week before Election Day. [1][2][3][4][5]

Piker is a political influencer whose content critiques capitalism, United States foreign policy, and mainstream Democratic positions. He has faced criticism for inflammatory statements regarding foreign policy, defenses of authoritarian regimes, and platform bans. As FTMQ News reported earlier, Michigan Democratic Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed previously asked Piker to tone down his public rhetoric because it was harming his political campaign. [6][8]

The live podcast taping in Minneapolis comes after a heated election season for the content creator. The public appearance occurs as candidates finalize their campaigns ahead of the 2026 midterm elections. [1]
