Former Minnesota high school teacher confessed to sexual relationship with student

A Minnesota high school special education teacher repeatedly booked hotel rooms to have sex with an 18-year-old student, the New York Post reported. Ann Margaret Bacon, 27, taught at Tartan High School in Oakdale, located outside St. Paul. [1]

The New York Post reported, citing the Pioneer Press, that Bacon initially claimed she did not start having sex with the teenager until July 2023, one month after he graduated. However, she later confessed after being confronted with a photograph of them together at a hotel. [1]

According to the New York Post, hotel records showed that Bacon booked a room at the same hotel at least four times. The dates of the bookings included May 8, June 4, June 11, and the July Fourth holiday. [1]

The New York Post also reported that Bacon bought alcohol for other students who partied with them at the hotel. When confronted, the victim stated that he and the teacher were dating exclusively. [1]
