Former Chelsea head of women's football Paul Green has reflected on his time at the club after leaving his position in February. BBC Sport reported that Green left suddenly following reports of internal unrest within the hierarchy at Chelsea. During his 13 years with the team, he formed a management partnership with former manager Emma Hayes. [1][2]

According to BBC Sport, Green helped lead Chelsea to 19 major trophies during his time at the club. He said that he kept the majority of his medals in a box under his bed while working there. Green stated that he only began to appreciate his achievements after he had departed. [1][2]

Addressing his departure from the club, Green told BBC Sport that football clubs move on and noted that many people have changed at Chelsea in recent years. [1][2]
