NASCAR Cup Series driver Brad Keselowski addressed his departure from RFK Racing following qualifying for the South Point 400 in Las Vegas, according to reports from Jayski, SpeedwayMedia.com, and The New York Times. Keselowski, who drives the No. 6 Ford Mustang, announced this week that he and the team will part ways at the end of the 2026 season. Yahoo Sports and nascar.com reported that team management and Keselowski both spoke on the split after qualifying concluded. [1][3][9][10][11]

According to Yahoo Sports, Keselowski stated that he could not share many behind-the-scenes details that led to the exit. However, Yahoo Sports reported that the 2012 Cup champion maintains strong driving ambitions. The New York Times and nascar.com reported that the team's president also addressed the upcoming split alongside the driver. [2][3][9][10]

Keselowski has been a driver and co-owner at Roush Fenway Keselowski Racing alongside Jack Roush since the 2022 season, Yahoo Sports reported. He currently operates as the full-time driver of the No. 6 Ford Mustang Dark Horse for the organization, which also fields entries for Chris Buescher and Ryan Preece. [3][13][14]

The announcement coincided with qualifying for the South Point 400 race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, according to Yahoo Sports. The event marks the fifth race in the 10-race NASCAR Cup Series championship Chase. [4][7]
