As FTMQ News reported earlier, the shooting occurred around 1:00 p.m. PDT on school picture day at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon. The gunman was identified as 16-year-old Griffin John II. A female teacher tackled the gunman during the attack after throwing her cellphone at him. [4][5]
The victims who died in the attack included three children aged 5, 8, and 11, alongside one teacher, as FTMQ News reported earlier. A 7-year-old student and a 54-year-old teacher were taken to the hospital in critical condition. [4][5]
