Donald Trump offers White House press secretary role to Dana White

President Donald Trump has offered the position of White House press secretary to Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO Dana White, according to statements by Trump on Truth Social and reporting by several news outlets including CNBC, UPI, and the BBC. The New York Post and the Daily Mail both reported that White spoke to reporters in London on Saturday and announced he was flying to Washington, D.C., to meet with Trump on Monday. Trump posted on Truth Social asking White to take the role, calling him a violent fighter and warrior, rte.ie and UPI reported. [1][2][4][5][6][8]

White has not given a clear answer on whether he will accept the offer, according to the New York Post and rte.ie. However, the Daily Mail noted that CNN reported White has already rejected the offer, while NBC News cited headline reports that White declined the position. The Daily Mail also reported that White chuckled when asked about the job offer in London, while rte.ie noted that the UFC chief posted an image of himself behind a press lectern on social media. Dana Frederick White Jr. is the president and chief executive officer of the mixed martial arts organization Ultimate Fighting Championship. As FTMQ News reported earlier, the job offer follows the brief five-day tenure of Katie Zacharia as White House press secretary, who had been offered the post to succeed Karoline Leavitt. Trump offered White the role as his White House undergoes a major transition following deep losses for his party in midterm elections, according to PBS NewsHour. The New York Post and the Daily Mail both reported that White is scheduled to discuss the job offer and other issues face-to-face with Trump in Washington on Monday. [1][2][7]
