Police in New York City have arrested 32-year-old Anna Mochalova on hate crime charges following two attacks on Jewish men in Manhattan. The New York Post reported that Mochalova was taken into custody on Saturday. [1]
According to the New York Post, Mochalova followed Yosef, a 26-year-old rabbi, and stabbed him in the back with a syringe needle near West 47th Street and Fifth Avenue around 6:00 p.m. last week. Cops stated that two hours prior to that incident, she intentionally bumped into a 37-year-old Jewish man on West 42nd Street and Fifth Avenue. When the man confronted her, she spoke in Russian and stabbed him. [1]
As FTMQ News reported earlier, the 26-year-old rabbi was attacked in Midtown's Diamond District. He returned to the scene the following day, stating that he believed he was targeted because he was visibly Jewish. [3]
Mochalova faces multiple charges including assault as a hate crime following her arrest by police officers. [1]
