Ukraine and international partners gather in Brussels for reconstruction talks

Ukraine and its international allies are meeting in Brussels on November 4 to hold diplomatic talks on post-war reconstruction and security guarantees, according to Ukrainian Defence Minister Rustem Umerov as reported by Ukrainian National News. Euronews, TodayPress.tv, and BusinessToday Malaysia all report that the European Commission is bringing together representatives from Ukraine, the United States, NATO, and the European Union for the discussions. The international meeting in Belgium comes immediately prior to scheduled diplomatic sessions in the United Arab Emirates. TRT World and Voyennoye Delo both report that the security and reconstruction talks in Brussels are taking place ahead of upcoming negotiations in Abu Dhabi. [4][6]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, the European Union has previously sought to expand peace talks into a multilateral format involving European officials, after earlier peace efforts stalled when the United States launched a war on Iran. FTMQ News also reported that Russia confirmed separate peace talks in Abu Dhabi, while First Lady Melania Trump scheduled talks at the White House following an October ceasefire in Oleshky. [9][10]
