Texas man kills estranged wife and himself after chase

A Texas woman was kidnapped by her estranged husband and later killed in a murder-suicide following a high-speed police pursuit, according to the New York Post. Authorities identified the victim as 34-year-old Bianca Garza, a mother of two. Her estranged husband was identified as 34-year-old Axel Ramirez. [1]

The incident began after Garza dropped off one of her children at school, the New York Post reported. She had taken her new boyfriend with her to have a conversation with Ramirez before the kidnapping occurred. Burleson police officers were involved in the subsequent chase. [1]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, domestic violence incidents involving estranged partners have led to fatal shootings in other states in recent weeks. In October, a retired police sergeant killed his estranged wife and daughter in California, and a Haitian national was charged with the murder of his estranged wife outside a store in Pennsylvania.
