A suspect in a deadly shooting spree in the Paris suburbs was transferred to the Paris Judicial Court overnight between Wednesday and Thursday to face potential charges, France 24 reported. The suspect was brought to court following the attack last week in the town of Trappes, near Paris, which left one person dead and five others injured. [1]
As FTMQ News reported earlier, the drive-by shooting occurred on October 23, 2026, across Trappes and La Verrière. A 39-year-old suspect was arrested in Coignières shortly after the attack. French President Emmanuel Macron condemned the event as a racist terrorist attack, and French lawmakers held a minute of silence for the victim who died, Pengo Bossio Wangi. A 12-year-old girl was among those wounded after being shot eight times. [9][10]
France 24 reported that the case is being handled by the French National Anti-Terrorism Prosecutor's Office. Public prosecutor Olivier Christen was scheduled to give a live statement regarding the investigation on Thursday morning. [1]
