Total ad spending and reservations in House general election races have surpassed 1.6 billion dollars with less than one week remaining before Election Day on November 3, 2026. The Washington Examiner reported figures tabulated by tracking firm AdImpact showing that the current election cycle will be the most expensive midterm in history. Control of the House of Representatives remains undecided as candidates enter the final days of campaigning. [1][2][6]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, all 435 seats in the House of Representatives and 35 seats in the Senate are up for election. Forecasters previously projected that Democrats could secure the 218 seats required to win the majority in the chamber. Additional reporting from Roll Call and NPR highlighted the most vulnerable members and key House races to monitor ahead of the vote. [2][6][8][11][12]

The House general elections will coincide with state, local, and Senate contests across the country. In Texas, voters will elect thirty-eight U.S. representatives following primary contests held earlier in the year. [9]

The election takes place on November 3, 2026, as both political parties complete final campaign pushes across competitive congressional districts. [2][6][9][11]
