The Irish Examiner reported that almost 3,000 Ukrainian refugees across Ireland were served with three months' notice to leave their State-contracted accommodation last week. The decision affects 299 Ukrainian refugees in Cork City and county, including 89 residents living in the former Cork Airport Hotel. [1]

Residents in the former Cork Airport Hotel, including Max and Natalia Taranchuk, expressed distress over the decision as they face uncertainty in finding alternative housing before the deadline expires. Some residents were reported to be in tears after receiving the notices to quit. [1]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, Ukrainian refugees in Ireland have faced previous adjustments to their living arrangements, including changes at the Trabolgan holiday village in East Cork where families were required to transition to fully catered meal plans that consumed their entire food allowance.
