Sheila Fitzpatrick has sold her Alternative Bread Company stall at the English Market in Cork to French baker Benjamin Le Bon, the Irish Examiner reported. Fitzpatrick is stepping down after trading at the market for nearly 30 years. [1]

Le Bon, who operates Seeds Artisan Bakers, is taking over the stall on Grand Parade in Cork city, according to the Irish Examiner. The stall is known for its soaring stacks of freshly baked breads, patisserie, and floury fancies. [1]

The English Market is a municipal food market in the centre of Cork city that stretches from Princes Street to Grand Parade. Established on August 1, 1788, by the Protestant corporation governing the city, it combines the Princes Street Market and Grand Parade Market. The venue is recognised for its mid 19th century architecture and locally produced artisan food. [2][4]
