Show cast members Ashley Padilla and Andrew Dismukes opened the segment portraying members of the Republican Party. [1]
During the sketch, the show mocked recent political campaign promises. According to The Wrap, the parodied president addressed a proposed five thousand dollar promise to voters, joking that it was not a bribe because he had no intention of following through. [1]

Financial analysts calculated that sending five thousand dollars to all American adults would cost more than one trillion dollars. [6][7]
