Rebel Wilson faces prosecution in United Kingdom over vehicle insurance lapse

Australian actress Rebel Wilson is being prosecuted in Britain for keeping a motor vehicle that does not meet insurance requirements. The Daily Mail and the Belfast Telegraph both report that the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency brought the legal case against the 46-year-old comedian after the insurance expired on her 50,000 pound Audi SUV. According to court papers cited by the Daily Mail, the insurance ran out while Wilson was in Los Angeles for five months with her heavily pregnant wife, Ramona Agruma. The uninsured vehicle was parked at the couple's home in London at the time of the alleged offence. [1]

Wilson is an Australian actress, comedian, and producer who graduated from the Australian Theatre for Young People in 2003. She moved to the United States and featured in the 2011 comedy film Bridesmaids, as well as the 2012 musical comedy film Pitch Perfect. [3][4]
