Prediction-market traders expect California voters to reject a proposed billionaire tax measure ahead of next week's election, the New York Post reported. California voters are set to decide on 14 statewide propositions during the voting process. [1]

Data displayed on prediction platforms Kalshi and Polymarket International indicates that the controversial wealth measure is unlikely to pass, according to the New York Post. The platforms show stronger odds for several other proposals, while measures such as a voter identification requirement and a mandate for community health clinics show much lower estimated support. Californians are permitted to trade contracts on political outcomes because prediction markets operate under a legal and regulatory structure separate from sports betting, the New York Post reported. [1]

Election Day in the United States takes place on the Tuesday following the first Monday in November of even-numbered years for general elections of federal, state, and local officials. [13]
