The New York Post reported that police in Los Angeles have arrested two suspects on suspicion of murder in the death of Christina Downer, the 38 year old sister of Saturday Night Live writer Jimmy Fowlie. Delorean Bijon Brandon, who is Downer's boyfriend, was arrested on Friday in Highland Park. A second suspect, Kaylee Nicole Markowski, was arrested in Tarzana. Both suspects are being held on $2 million bail. [1]
The New York Post, citing NBC Los Angeles, reported that investigators believe Brandon and Markowski dumped Downer's body and covered up the crime after she vanished. Downer went missing in Los Angeles in late November 2025, according to the New York Post. [1]
As FTMQ News reported earlier, police began searching the California desert in Joshua Tree for Downer on October 9, 2026. Detectives and canine units were deployed to search for evidence connected to her disappearance. FTMQ News earlier noted that Fowlie posted in April 2026 that his sister was believed to be dead, though FTMQ News previously reported her last confirmed sighting as December 2025. [3]
The New York Post reported that law enforcement officers are continuing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the case. [1]
