Pima County Sheriff provides update nine months after Nancy Guthrie kidnapping

The Pima County Sheriff's Department gave an update on Friday regarding the missing person case of Nancy Guthrie, nine months after her disappearance. On February 1, 2026, Nancy Guthrie, the 84 year old mother of NBC News anchor Savannah Guthrie, was kidnapped from her home in Catalina Foothills, Arizona. Evidence found at the residence indicated that she was taken against her will, and Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos stated that he believed she had been abducted. [3]
