Musicians Perform Soundgarden Tribute Set at Power to the People Fest

Musicians Taylor Momsen, Mike McCready, Matt Cameron, Robbie Mangano, and Tom Morello performed a special Soundgarden tribute set at the Power to the People Fest, Consequence reported. Performing under the band name Suns of Soundgarden, the five musicians played the songs Loud Love, Outshined, and Spoonman. [1]

Consequence reported that Tom Morello introduced the performance by speaking about the lasting influence of Soundgarden. He stated that the band redeemed hard rock and metal music by combining heavy riffs with deep poetry that opened doors for future generations. [1]

Matt Cameron is known for his work as a drummer with Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. Mike McCready is a lead guitarist and founding member of Pearl Jam who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2017. Taylor Momsen is the lead vocalist for the band the Pretty Reckless and previously worked as an actress on the television series Gossip Girl. [3][4][5][6]
