Baltimore rock band Turnstile made their Saturday Night Live debut on October 3 as the musical guest in an episode hosted by Dakota Johnson, Billboard and Rolling Stone reported. Billboard noted that the group rescheduled an Oklahoma City tour date to make the appearance. As FTMQ News reported earlier, Turnstile had performed a 12-song set in the rain at the Austin City Limits festival the night before their television appearance. [1][2][7][8]
During the broadcast, the band opened with their song Birds, Billboard and Rolling Stone reported. Rolling Stone said the group followed the opening track with a two-song medley from their album Never Enough. [1][2]
Rolling Stone reported that Birds earned the Best Metal Performance award at the Grammys in February. The outlet added that Never Enough won Best Rock Album, making Turnstile the first group to receive simultaneous nominations in the Rock, Alternative, and Metal categories. [2]
Never Enough is the fourth studio album from the group, following their 2021 release Glow On, according to Rolling Stone. Rolling Stone added that a reimagined version of the award-winning album was released in August. [2]
