Massive Ukrainian drone attack kills two and sets oil depot ablaze in Moscow

A massive overnight drone attack struck the Moscow region, killing two people and injuring nine others, according to RTE and Meduza. The Kyiv Post, Meduza, and cotidianul.md reported that the strikes targeted and set fire to the largest oil depot in the region. [1][2][4][6]

RTE reported that 650 drones were launched toward the Moscow region overnight, citing Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin. Moscow Region governor Andrei Vorobyov stated that 185 drones were destroyed or neutralised across 16 municipalities. While Al Arabiya English initially reported one death, RTE, Meduza, cotidianul.md, and The Moscow Times confirmed two people were killed. [1][3][4][5][6]

According to RTE, Governor Vorobyov confirmed the two victims were men aged 71 and 20 who died at separate locations on the outskirts of Moscow. Most of the incoming drones were destroyed at long range by air defences, Mayor Sobyanin said on Telegram. [1]
