Kathleen Turner and Michael Douglas address memoir secret affair disclosures

As FTMQ News reported earlier, actor Michael Douglas disclosed in an excerpt from his memoir, One Helluva Ride, that he had a secret romantic affair with co-star Kathleen Turner while filming their 1984 movie Romancing the Stone. [19]

According to the Hollywood Reporter, The Sun, and HELLO! Magazine, Douglas stated in his memoir that he fell hard for Turner during production, praising her as smart, funny, and sexy. Page Six and TMZ reported that the couple lied for decades to keep their romance private. The Hollywood Reporter noted that Douglas was separated from his then-wife, Diandra Douglas, at the time and wrote that they were both having extramarital affairs. [5][6][7][9][10]

The Mercury News reported that Douglas claimed he contacted every woman involved, including Turner, to get their permission before publishing the intimate details in his book. The actor told the Los Angeles Times that his 80s were a good time to share movie insights and personal history, while telling The Associated Press that he tried to be honest and tough on himself. Kathleen Turner offered a humorous reaction to the disclosure, according to reports from HELLO! Magazine, HuffPost UK, and the Hollywood Reporter. In a statement shared with People magazine, Turner stated, good heavens what a fuss about something 40 years ago. She added that she loves Douglas and looks forward to enjoying his book. [7][10][13]
