The Indianapolis Colts have agreed to trade star guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, Fox News and the Daily Mail reported on Tuesday. In exchange for the 30-year-old offensive lineman, the Seahawks are sending a third-round draft pick in 2027 and a fifth-round draft pick in 2028 to the Colts, according to Fox News and the New York Post. Nelson is an eight-time Pro Bowler and six-time All-Pro selection who has spent his entire eight-year career with Indianapolis, Fox News and the New York Post reported. The New York Post noted that Nelson is currently on an expiring contract. He is expected to bolster a Seattle running attack that is awaiting the return of injured running backs Zach Charbonnet and Jadarian Price, according to the New York Post. [1][4]

The roster move follows internal changes within the Indianapolis franchise. According to the Daily Mail, team owner Carlie Irsay-Gordon fired general manager Chris Ballard a little over a week prior to the trade. Assistant general manager Ed Dodds has taken over Ballard's duties on an interim basis, the Daily Mail reported. [2]

As FTMQ News reported earlier, the Colts previously held a 2-4 record after firing Ballard following a loss to the Tennessee Titans. Other players including running back Jonathan Taylor and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner could also be involved in potential future trades prior to the November 10 deadline, according to Fox News.
