Jonathan Taylor addresses trade rumors fueled by wife's social media posts

Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor responded to trade rumors in Minneapolis after a 16-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, according to the Daily Mail. The comments came after his wife, Ayanna Taylor, posted videos on social media suggesting that he could be traded. Fox News reported that the videos raised speculation about trades while the organization struggles following the firing of general manager Chris Ballard. [1][3]

According to the Daily Mail, Taylor downplayed the impact of his wife's social media activity, saying that her comments did not really change anything and that everyone is on TikTok these days. Fox News and the New York Post reported that the Indianapolis Colts currently have a 2-4 record and face speculation that they may sell players at the trade deadline. [1][3][5]

The latest loss followed a defeat to the previously winless Tennessee Titans last week, after which general manager Chris Ballard was fired, Fox News reported. Taylor is an American professional football player who plays as a running back for the Indianapolis Colts in the National Football League. [1][10]

In 2021, Taylor led the National Football League in rushing yards, earned First-Team All-Pro honors, and was selected for the Pro Bowl. He also holds the franchise record for career rushing touchdowns with the Colts, surpassing Edgerrin James. [12]
